Who we are

Scouting provides a program for youth that builds character and personal fitness, provides fun and adventure outdoors, and instills boys with the values, principles and skills to become tomorrow’s leaders.
Cub Pack 104 serves boys in the 1st through 5th grades (7-10 years old) in the El Cerrito area.  Our members hail from local elementary schools including Fairmont, Harding, Madera and Kensington as well as further afield in Albany and Richmond.  We have active ‘Dens’ (small groups based on grade) for Kindergarten (Lions), 1st grade (Tigers), 2nd grade (Wolves), 3rd grade (Bears), and 4th & 5th grades (Webelos).
Pack 104 is operated by the non-profit Friends of Pack 104, our parent chartering organization.  Pack 104 has an inclusive membership policy and any boy is welcome.
Pack meetings are held the first Thursday of the month (check our calendar) during the school year at Harding Elementary School, 7320 Fairmount Ave, El Cerrito.   We meet from 7-8:30pm in the Harding Multipurpose room (the free-standing building along Ashbury Ave).  Feel free to attend.  Den meetings and activities occur weekly.
We have an active program with community service events, fall and spring campouts, a Pinewood Derby race, a Blue and Gold family dinner, Pack outings to sporting events, and many other adventures.
Scouting has been active in El Cerrito for over 75 years and benefits from the resources of Camp Herms, El Cerrito’s historic scout camp situated in the hills just off Arlington Blvd.  Established over 50 years ago, Pack 104 is one of the oldest continually operating Packs in the area with a long history and rich program.
