Who we are

Scouting provides a program for youth that builds character and personal fitness, provides fun and adventure outdoors, and instills boys and girls with the values, principles and skills to become tomorrow’s leaders.

Cub Pack 104 serves youth in the Kindergarten through the 5th grades (5-10 years old) in the El Cerrito, California area. El Cerrito’s only Cub Scout Pack, our membership hails from El Cerrito, Albany and Kensington, as well as further afield with families from Pinole, San Pablo, Berkeley and beyond. We have active ‘Dens’ (small groups based on grade) for Kindergarten (Lions), 1st grade (Tigers), 2nd grade (Wolves), 3rd grade (Bears), 4th grade (Webelos), and 5th grade (Webelos Arrow of Light) youth.

Established in 1961, Pack 104 is one of the oldest continually operating Cub Scout Packs in the area, with a long history and rich program. Overall, Scouting has been active in El Cerrito for over 80 years and benefits from the resources of Camp Herms, El Cerrito’s historic scout camp situated in the hills just off Arlington Blvd.

Pack 104 is chartered by Sycamore Church, and both Sycamore Church and Pack 104 are committed to the independence of Pack 104. Pack 104 has an inclusive membership policy and any child within the Cub Scout age range is welcome.
